New Features

Search & Navigation Improvements

To improve the display and navigation of timelines and to introduce a free text search that is central to the experience.

Proposal

To remove the display of blueprints in the current filter 'tree' on the timeline. This will be replaced by one central search field that will allow the user to search for anything contained on the timeline. This will include event types, documents, blueprints (tags) and all text content within events. An advanced filter will be accessible in a tile to the right of the timeline to allow more complex search queries, for example to limit by date.

Bulk tagging will be moved into a wizard style workflow. Entering bulk tagging mode will show the available blueprint tags in full screen allowing for selection. Returning to the timeline will again display that in full screen allowing for application of the selected tags to events.

Goals

Functionality to allow targets and goals to be set for users to aim towards and measure themselves against. Goals can be general aims, e.g. 'I want to improve my understanding in this area...' or much more specific, e.g. 'I want to complete 5 skill log entries'. Users can manually link any event that they own to a goal in order to demonstrate that it is contributing towards achieving it.

Profile Card

To move the profile card out of the left hand column on the timeline as the information it contains is not useful enough for the amount of space it takes. Profile information will be stored in the top right hand corner, displayed when the profile image is clicked.

If you are viewing the timeline of someone else then information on this person is displayed at the top of the screen and automatically follows you as you scroll.

Improvements & Fixes

• New widget options for the dashboard to quickly create a new event, see an overview of all your goals, and all the detail on one goal set

• Added form error card to event form. This will display any mandatory fields that have not been completed

• Restyled new event screen to reduce the amount of space taken. Discard Last Changes button has been replaced by Cancel.

• Hide unnecessary information for mobile view to give a cleaner experience

• Do not clear organisation on logout which will mean users always see their organisation login page by default the next time they return

• Added date to advanced search 

• A to do item connected to an obsolete event can now be removed immediately by the end user 

• Implemented advanced search card 

• Added further customisation and layout options to dashboard

• Added sidebar cards to provide contextual information and help

• Added bookmark card so that users can quickly save a search for one click access

• Added new event button on other users' timelines so you can create an event directly from there and not only from the users list

• Added feedback button 

• Added highlighting to event timelines to display why search results have been returned

• The default order is first name on users list 

• Improved display of the users list to provide quick access to action buttons

• Added a remote profile bar to indicate when you are viewing another user's portfolio

• Added free text searching to all lists

• Simplified the timeline display

• Added a message at the end of lists to indicate there are no more items to load
